Mapusaurus - its name meaning 'Earth Lizard'. It was a huge theropod carnivore of the Late Cretaceous some 97-93 million years ago that lived in the area of Argentina and Chile. Mapusaurus is believed to have ranged in length between about 10.2 to 12.7 metres.

Previously available only as a Deluxe model, this is the first version of Mapusaurus (hunting) to be added to CollectA's popular range. Mapusaurus may have hunted together as a pack or family unit preying on the huge Argentinosaurus with which it shared its environment.
